Identifying Your Unique Strengths
While it can be hard for an organization to define its own unique strengths, the right process and a little guidance can make it much easier. Perspective Internet Consulting uses the following four step process:
1. Review of Existing Marketing Materials
To understanding any existing strengths you have already identified and identify areas to explore, Perspective reviews existing marketing materials, such as your web site, brochures, one sheets, and proposals. This gives us a starting point for the next step.
2. Internal Working Session
Key members of your team meet with Perspective to analyze, brainstorm and investigate what it is that you do best and what is unique about you from a customer’s perspective. During these sessions, we can also identify case studies that should be documented and shared.
3. Customer Interviews
Perspective interviews current customers to test assumptions identified in the working session. We are also looking for additional customer insights that might have been missed. Perspective shares results of the interviews with your team for insights and interpretations.
4. Documentation of Unique Strengths
The final step in the process is for Perspective to document the results of the process and share them with your team. This usually involves one or two iterations as we hone in on how to describe your unique strengths.
Contact Perspective Internet Consulting to begin identifying your unique strengths. Once you have defined your unique strengths, you are ready to define your market positioning.
